I’ve got some good news folks. Recently the tracklist for Loso’s Way, an upcoming album by Fabolous was leaked online. On it, we learn that Lil Wayne will be featured on a song called Salute. The release date for Loso’s Way is June 30th, and you all know how Lil Wayne songs are. I will be very surprised if this song doesn’t leak out early. So within the next few weeks we can look forward to a Weezy and Fab collaboration, which should be amazing considering the last one, You Ain’t Got Nuthin:

Lil Wayne Wants To Be Prince In “Purple Rain”

Lil Wayne recently spoke to MTV news about wanting to be Prince in “Purple Rain”. MTV news reports Lil Wayne got a huge laugh out of watching Forest Whitaker perform “Di– in a Box” during last week’s MTV Movie Awards. That’s definitely a moment he didn’t expect from his “Hurricane Season” co-star.

Weezy said, “I just finished shooting a movie with Forest too. He’s a very serious guy,” after the show in Universal City, California. “I just spoke to him before he went out there, and he was like, ‘You did good in the movie.’ Then he goes out there and sings that. I’m like, ‘Wow.’ “

“Hurricane Season” comes out later this year. The movie centers on a high school basketball team in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. “Everything was wonderful, and just doing it in New Orleans, it being a true story, and just contributing in any kind of way, it was great for me.”

Wayne says he doesn’t have any other roles lined up yet, but his album The Rebirth is dropping August 18. If Wayne had to choose his dream movie role, it’s easy for Weezy: He’d be the Kid.

“Prince in Purple Rain,” he answered when asked what role he would want. “Watch out now.”

No Lil Wayne, But “Drizzy” Drake Makes A Suprise Apperance At Hot 97 Summer Jam

Last night New York’s Hot 97 held their annual Summer Jam at Giants Stadium which was hosted by comedian Tracy Morgan. Performers for the event included Mary J Blige, Jadakiss, T-Pain & friends, Elephant Man, Day 26, Asher Roth, The Dream, Pleasure P, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and more. There were also multiple surprise appearances and performances by Lil Kim, Drake, Young Jeezy who brought out “Jay-Z for his new single DOA”, Method Man & Redman, Jeremiah, Soulja Boy, Manio, Bhysta Rhymes, DJ Kalhead, and Ace Hood. Overall the event was a huge success with a turnout of 55,000 people and it was the topic of discussion last night on twitter and the internet blogs. One of the biggest moments of the night by far was when “Drizzy” Drake came out and made a surprise performance. We are not too surprised by this because we knew he was going to be there, due to the huge rumor floating around all week.
